Can SMP create natural-looking density for Black women?
Steven Rodriguez explains how SMP works on Black women’s scalps, including pigment matching, safety, sessions, healing and realistic density expectations.
Procedures
Scalp micropigmentation for women softens thinning at the hairline, part and crown by placing tiny pigment dots between the hairs you keep. Steven Rodriguez designs each treatment around your hair, your head shape and your face.

Thinning hair has many triggers in women, including hormones, genetics and medication. It often shows as a wider part, a thinner crown or a hairline that has moved back, and it can affect confidence as much as complete hair loss does.
Most women do not want a shaved look, and with moderate thinning you can keep your hair. We add the necessary density between your existing hairs so thinning areas look fuller, and we can build a softer hairline when the front has receded. Steven creates various hairline types for women, from a subtle, soft and mature look to something crisp and youthful.
At your free consultation we assess your thinning on the Ludwig scale, discuss the result you want and answer your questions. Most clients have 2 to 4 sessions, 10 to 13 days apart. To read more, see how Steven creates a natural-looking hairline for women and what women can expect from SMP results.
